Managing Partner

Scott Cain graduated from Cleburne High in 1985, received his BA from Criswell College in 1989, and his Juris Doctorate, magna cum laude, from Texas A&M School of Law (fka Texas Wesleyan University School of Law) in 1999. Scott is the managing partner of Cain & Kiel Law, a law firm that focuses on real estate, probate and estate planning, and corporate transactional and litigation matters. He is a certified mediator and is also the owner of Trinity Abstract & Title in Cleburne. Scott has served as Cleburne's Mayor since 2012.

Scott has served on many boards for several local charities and universities in Cleburne and throughout Johnson County, and he is a past state amateur wakeboarding champion. Scott is recognized by his peers with the highest peer review rating and was selected as one of only a half percent of Texas lawyers to serve as a fellow on the Texas Bar Foundation. For 9 of the past 11 years, Scott and his law firm were selected as Johnson County's best lawyers by the Cleburne Times Review Reader's Poll. In 2017, Scott was selected as the Cleburne Chamber of Commerce Citizen of the Year. In 2018, Scott was selected as the top litigation and trial lawyer in America by Lawyer Monthly publication, and his law firm was selected as Texas' Top 10 in estate planning.

Scott teaches business law as an adjunct professor at Southwest Adventist University and has authored several articles and wrote the book, "Cleburne Baseball: a Railroader History." Scott is often a keynote speaker at conferences and events across Texas.
